Owen is a busy session bass player and is also playing in a Stereophonics tribute band called Stereosonics.
Owen started playing guitar when he was 14 and then later moved to bass when he turned 15. At first, playing music was just a hobby for Owen playing in various bands through high school and college. But it wasn't long before he discovered that he wanted to take music more seriously. It was from there he went on to do a Diploma in Popular Music and then a Degree.
While taking the Diploma at North Warickshire and Hinckley College. Owen Learned how to play in various different styles of Popular Music (Blues, Rock, Pop and Jazz). Owen also started learning music theory while attending the college and by the end of the degree could work to a grade 6 standard in Music Theory.
During Owen's second and third year of the Diploma. He took part in the WorldSkillsUK competition with the band 'Moonburn' and placed 3rd. Winning the college a Bronze medal. Owen was also a finalist the following year with 'Offbeat'.
Owen is now currently studying Bmus(hons) Popular Music at the University of Wolverhampton where he hopes to expand upon his knowledge and experiences as a musician and is a busy session bass player.
Owen is also experienced with using Logic Pro and Pro Tools and spends some of his time recording other musicians and producing tracks. You can see examples of Owen's work on his 'Recordings' page.
